For every avid golfer a trip to golf's birthplace, Scotland is a must. Whether this is your first time venturing across the
Atlantic or you have made the journey many times before, you have not experienced true Scottish golf until you have played
at Tain Golf Club. This 18-hole, traditional Scottish Highland links golf course was
designed by famed Scottish designer Old Tom Morris. Many refer to Tain as "Old Tom Morris's Northern Jewel."
From the spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges and sea to a relatively mild climate, there is really no
reason not to play Tain Golf Club. This course has it all. From the 3rd hole which is rated as one of the best links
holes in Scotland to the 17th, one of the tope 18 holes designed by Old Tom Morris, this is a well-rounded, challenging
golf course.
Located in the highlands of Scotland, the views from Tain Golf Club are nothing short of extraordinary.
Overlooking the Domoch Firth, you can literally see for miles on some holes. Unique to this area, Tain is one of the few
courses offering play for most of the year because of its sheltered location. While the course may be closed depending on
weather during the winter months, there's a good chance you can still manage to squeeze in a round.
At the end of the day, retire to the clubhouse. Built in 1998, the clubhouse at Tain has all the modern amenities you
would expect including purpose built locker rooms and a changing area. The bar overlooks the 18th green and is perfect for
relaxing with your group after 18 holes.
Greens, the restaurant at Tain Golf Club is a culinary spectacle. Special care is taken to get the finest of local
produce to ensure that every meal is nothing short of phenomenal. Dine on fresh local lobster, or a Ross-shire Rack of
Lamb or many of the other fine delicacies Greens has to offer. No matter what you choose you can rest assured it will be
the perfect compliment to the amazing round of golf you just played at Tain Golf Club.
