EUROPEAN TOUR: Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
Padraig Harrington claimed his 10th win on the European Tour with a 5 shot victory over Welshman Bradley Dredge,
American Edward Loar and England's Anthony Wall. Harrington started the day 1 back of Dredge, but a birdie at the
first brought him level and the pair were still tied as they played the par 3 11th hole. Things changed dramatically
there as Dredge found the front bunker and ended up making double bogey as Harrington rolled in his birdie putt for
a 3 shot swing. Dredge never recovered and when they reached the 18th tee Harrington was 5 clear. With Harrington
and partner JP McManus on their way to victory in the amateur team event, Harrington rounded the week off in style
with a birdie 3 on the famous 18th to finish on a winning 16 under-par 271 total.
PGA TOUR: Chrysler Classic of Greensboro
After 3 years Davis Love III finally got back into the winners circle with a 2 shot victory over Jason Bohn. Love
shot an impressive 6 under-par 66 over the final 18 holes to finish on 16 under-par 272 to claim the win. Love came
to the 13th 2 shots behind the leader, but after consecutive birdies on the 13th, 14th and 15th holes he had moved
into a 2 shot lead. Love was never going to give that up and after pars on 16 and 17 Love was able to 2 putt at the
last for another par and his 19th PGA Tour title.
LPGA TOUR: Corona Morelis Championship
Mexican Lorena Ochoa won on home soil for the first time with an impressive 5 shot victory over Paraguay's Julieta
Granada. Ochoa took control of the event with a course record 9 under-par 64 in the second round but Granada stayed
close and after starting the final round 3 back got within 1 after Ochoa bogeyed the 3rd. That was as close as she
got as Ochoa moved 2 clear with a birdie at the 8th. Three more birdies followed on the back nine for the Mexican
native a she finally finished on 20 under-par 272 and claimed her 7th LPGA Tour title.
CHAMPIONS TOUR: SAS Championship
With torrential rain during the night the final round had to be cancelled due to the wet conditions giving Tom
Jenkins the win. Jenkins had finished the opening two rounds on 10 under-par 134 with Loren Roberts and Chip beck
only one shot back and a whole bunch of other players within a few shots. It looked like being a great final round
shoot-out until the rains came and forced the final round cancellation. As Hale Irwin said, "everyone wanted to play
except the winner!"
EUROPEAN CHALLENGE TOUR: Open de Toulouse
Frenchman Julien Foret parred the first extra hole to defeat England's Shaun Webster to claim victory on home soil.
Foret started the final round 4 shots back from the lead but played superbly, shooting a final round of 6 under-par
66 to finish on 14 under-par 274. Webster was the only man able to tie Foret and so force a play-off. Back to the
par 3 18th they went, but Webster bogied the hole and Foret holed his par putt for the home victory.
NATIONWIDE TOUR: Mark Christopher Charity Classic
Kevin Na, playing on his home course, led from start to finish claiming a 3 shot victory over Chris Tidland and Jeff
Quinney with a 16 under-par 268 total. Na had led by as many as 6 shots after the second round but entered the final
round only 1 clear. On a day of tough scoring Na increased his lead with early birdies at the second and fourth
holes and no one got close after that. Further birdies at 15 and 17 gave Na a 5 shot lead playing the last and the
tournament was his despite a 3 putt double bogey that reduced his winning margin.
